Córdoba’s liquid gold to be present at the Andalucía Bike Race presented by Caja Rural de Jaén

Mountain bike racers and the general public alike will be able to taste the Denominations of Origin of Priego de Córdoba and of Baena,

The Cordoban Designations of Origin for extra virgin olive oil from Priego de Córdoba and from Baena, along with the Spanish Association of Municipalities of Olivo are joining this 9th edition of the Andalucía Bike Race presented by Caja Rural de Jaén by providing 300 quarter-liter bottles of their denominations of origin olive oil. The first 300 participants who manage to cross the finish line in Stage 5 – the first one in Córdoba – will receive a gift of a bottle of oil. Extra virgin olive oil is the best energy supplement for athletes, and those who cross the finish line first will be rewarded with the crown jewel of the Mediterranean Diet.

All race participants and the general public who are at the finish line of the final stage on April 13, are invited inside the paddock at the Parque de la Asomadilla where there will be a space for tasting their exquisite oils.

In this manner, the liquid gold of the Córdoba region will once again be represented through both the DO Priego de Córdoba and Baena. For the ABR’s general classification winners in all categories, both DOs will present a gift.
