The Olympic Champion Jaroslav Kulhavý will make his debut in Andalucía Bike Race by GARMIN

He will do so next to his fellow countryman Matous Ulman with the Ceska Sporitelna – Accolade Cycling Team

The month of February started with a piece of news that shocked the world of Mountain Bike. The Olympic Champion from London 2012 and runner up in Rio 2016 was leaving the XCO behind to focus on XCM. And what better oportunity to enjoy one of the most awarded cyclists nowadays for the first time than this? Said and done. The Czech will be in the starting line in Jaén the next 17th of May.

On his list of achievements we can find the World Championship of XCO in 2011, four silver medals in that championship, and two bronze ones. And speaking continentally, Kulhavý has been the XCO European Champion twice.

Now it’s time for XCM, where he has already proven his quality and ability to adapt with a victory in the 4 Islands 2021 a few days ago. A first position that he managed to win with the same partner that Kulhavý will race with in the Andalucía Bike Race by GARMIN, Matous Ulman. This other Czech knows a lot about this event, since he has participated a few times. Like, for example, in 2018 when he wear the GC leader jersey after winning the first stage, a 32k TT, ahead Tiago Ferreira and Hans Becking. In that edition he finished in sixth position. Last year, we also saw him next to the best ones in a remarkable 13th position.

They will both fight neck and neck with the Czech team Ceskka Sporitelna – Accolade Cycling Team and we will surely see them in the top positions.
