Sneak peek of the 2019 route

New Flash Stage, BUFF® Super Stage and Finisher Stage

The ninth edition of Andalucía Bike Race will have a route of almost 380 kilometres and 7.730 metres of climbing. Six out and back stages with more rhythm and flow, combining unknown stretches with other mythical ones, and will visit the towns of Linares (two days), Andújar, Villafranca de Córdoba and Córdoba (two days).

The new FLASH STAGE will open the competition in Linares. An individual time trial of 38 kilometres and 508 metres of elevation gain, along the mining district. A short, fast and intense course.

The second stage, also held in Linares, will have 75 kilometres with 1.250 metres of climbing, will cross Guarromán (twice) and reach Baños de la Encina, bordering the Rumblar reservoir. It will include more singletracks than in the past edition.

The third stage is a mythical one of Andalucía Bike Race, and serves as transition day between the provinces of Jaén and Córdoba. From Andújar, 68 kilometres with 1.535 metres of elevation gain will be ridden. The first section will be new, passing by Marmolejo, before climbing into the mountains.

The fourth stage will be raced in Villafranca de Córdoba, town that lived the start of the 2017 Andalucía Bike Race. 53 kilometres and 1.354 metres of climbing of fun singletracks and amazing landscapes next to the San Rafael de Navallana reservoir.

The last two days will take place in Córdoba. The BUFF® SUPER STAGE, will be the queen day with almost 90 kilometres and 1.700 metres of elevation gain. It will go along iconic sections of Córdoba’s sierra, and will have a spectacular finish through Santo Domingo’s singletracks. This stage will start at the Libertad avenue and, as a novelty, will finish in the Asomadilla park.

The FINISHER STAGE will decide Andalucía Bike Race 2019. The last days’ 58 kilometres and almost 1.400 metres of climbing, will be a recital of awesome singletracks, with the climb of mythical Reventón and Los Morales descent.
